Objective:To carry out massage therapy which using rubbing and vibrating manipulation to stimulate the point of Baihui in the Yang deficiency of rats is to observe the influence change on circadian rhythm of body temperature, body weight, and cold-resistant ability, expectations for study on assisting Yang effect of massage therapy, and providing experimental basis and theoretical guidance for the clinical application of massage therapy in the treatment of Yang deficiency.Methods:18SD rats were randomly divided into the massage therapy group(A, rubbing and vibrating manipulation to stimulate the point of Baihui), Chinese medicine control group (B, taking Jinguishenqi pill), Yang deficiency model group(C),after using of "H-type test yang deficiency modeling method" modeling. And there is a blank control group(D).To observe temperature rhythm change at six time points in one day and body weight change, before and after the molding and treatment, and after treatment the cold survival duration, to compare the differences between traditional massage and traditional therapy during the influence of temperature rhythm, body weight, and cold-resistant ability. Results:â‘ body weight:each group before making model among groups (P>0.05), there was not statistically different.A, B, C three groups after the modeling, as well as their before and after (P<0.05), the groups weight loss. After treatment, except for C group (P<0.05), the other three groups have no statistical significance.â‘¡Temperature rhythm:before modeling, body temperature of rats in each group has a clear circadian variation, comparisons among groups (P>0.05), there were no significant differences;after modeling, the circadian rhythm of body temperature of Yang deficiency rats disappeared, rhythm mesor significantly decreased, the amplitude decreased, and acrophase advanced, compared with D group(P<0.05), with significant difference; after treatment, the circadian rhythm of body temperature in A and B group was restored, and compared with the blank group (P>0.05), no significant difference. â‘¢Cold-resistant survival time:A and B group compared with D group (P>0.05), no significant difference; C group rats began to die when were frozen for95min, have all died after125min,and the rest three groups, the rats began to die when were frozen for125min, among them, two died in group A,one died in group B and D, there was one rat in each group when were frozen for140, death all frozen150min.Conclusions:massage treatment can play assisting Yang effect as same as traditional drug treatment, they both can prolong the mean survival time of Yang deficiency rats to cold, and effectively restore the rhythm phase of body temperature.
