Clinical Research On Using The Maositang To Treat Alopecia Areata(qi-blood Deficiency)

Objective:Through the clinical observation, we can evaluate the clinical effects made by Maositang on treating alopecia areata, which is belong to qi-blood deficiency type.Methods:According to the principle of randomized comparison, we divided the62patients which met the inclusion criteria into two groups. Treatment group with32cases taking maosit-ang and control group with30cases taking prednisone tabl-ets. After treatment for8weeks, camparing the scores befor-e and after the treatment, then come to a dicision.All data were analyzed by the SPSS17.0statistical analysis.Results:All patients completed the experiment. The treatment group cure5cases(15.6%), significant effectively13cases (40.6%), effectively11cases (34.4%), invalid3cases (9.4%), the total effective rate is90.6%. The control group cure1case(3.3%), significant effectively7cases(23.3%), effective-ly13cases(43.3%), invalid9cases(30.0%), the total effect-ive rate is70.0%. After calculating, Z=-2.716, P=0.007, P<0.05,it showed the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusion:The maositang is better than the prednisone when to treat qi-blood deficiency type alopecia areata, and with less adverse reactions.
