Objective:The allergy-related chronic cough is a general designation of all kinds of respiratory allergic diseases associated with allergic factors and characterized clinically by repeated coughing. This paper is devoted to studying the Chinese and Western literature theory and clinical research of these diseases, trying to figure out the commonalities of these diseases, and exploring the corresponding treatment method of Chinese medicine. Methods:This article is divided into two parts. One part is about the literature. The related documents of allergy-related chronic cough in Chinese and Western literature are collected and analyzed, through which we can have the initial understanding of the allergy-related chronic cough, find out the common ground and explore the treatment. The other part is about the clinical observation. By the method of the pre-and post-treatment auto-control,60cases that aged1-14years old and belongs to Chenhanliu-yin are collected and given the new jinfeicao Powder. In the course of treatment as for4weeks, the changes and scores of the patients’ symptoms and signs were observed before and after treatment. Then these data are collected to conduct a statistical processing and analysis for an objective evaluation of its clinical efficacy.Results:1、Literature findings:the allergy-related chronic cough is characterized by repeated coughing, with or without sputum, particularly at night, increasing suddenly after activities and contacted with allergens and cold air. It has the same pathophysiological basis and varying degrees of airway inflammation. Related with the allergic reaction, most of it has an increasing eosinophils and serum total IgE, and positive reaction in inhalation of allergen-specific IgE or allergen skin test. Most of the cough mainly shown as Chenhanliuyin in traditional Chinese medicine.2、The results of clinical studies:the total clinical efficiency is90%. Comparing the scores before and after treatment of primary and secondary symptom, P<0.01, the difference is statistically significant, which means the new jinfeicao powder has a significant effect in the treatment of Chenhanliuyin cough. Classifying the60children patients according to diseases, CVA and AS total efficiency are91.7%and94.7%respectively. AR and UACS total efficiency are88.9%and82.4%respectively. Comparing the scores of each disease symptom before and after treatment, P<0.01, which means the new jinfeicao powder has a significant effect in the treatment of all the diseases above. The analysis finds that most of the children suffered from AR, eczema, AS have a history of CVA and UACS. All the collected60patients have had the allergen detection,55of whom have the skin prink test and44cases are positive,5of whom have the serum allergen test and all the5cases are positive. The positive patients in the skin prink test counts for81.7%.4cases of Lung Function tests are obtained. One has increased in airflow obstruction and the other cases are normal. Conclusion:The allergy-related chronic cough belongs to the context of chronic cough, associates with allergic factors, locates in the same airway, and has similar clinical manifesta-tions and pathophysiological basis. Most of the cough mainly shown as Chenhanliu-yin in traditional Chinese medicine.2、The New jinfeicao powder can significantly improve the primary and secondary symptoms of Chenhanliuyin syndrome, having a better clinical efficacy for each kind of the allergy-related chronic cough collected.
