Objective:To conduct a survey of drug treatment of patients with type2diabetes mellitus and to explore the impact of factors which control blood glucose. According to the influenced factors, we provide pharmaceutical care for patients to implement individualized guidance and evaluate the effect of pharmaceutical care, then to help for clinical treatment.Methods:1.943Patients were selected from hospital during the six months from July to December in2012. Through face-to-face questionnaire survey, sociodemographic data, clinical information, drug treatment and self-management behavior of patients and so on were collected. Multivariate analysis was employed to evaluate the effects of the treatment and clinical factors that affect the blood glucose levels.2.100eligible patients were randomly divided into intervention group and the control group, in addition to routine medical services, the intervention group was accepted pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical follow-up, while the control group only received conventional medical services. The main indicators of the evaluation of pharmaceutical care effect was blood glucose, secondary indicators were medication deviation, incidence of ADE and quality of life.Results:1. There are1,031questionnaires in this study, as part of the survey data is missing,943valid questionnaires. In the survey of943patients with type2diabetes mellitus,568people were from the central urban area,375people were from the rural area, their average age was55.95±11.90years old, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2h-postprandial glucose(2h-PG) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc) rates were36.5%,24.8%and38.6%respectively.Those who received drug treatment accounted for85.7%. Whether single or combined drug treatment, more frequently used were biguanides, sulfonylureas and insulin.Hypoglycemia occupyed the highest frequency of ADE.On the general condition of patients, patients with disease status and drug treatment for multivariate logistic regression analysis, gender, type of health insurance are protective factors for blood glucose, the course of disease is a risk factor;after self-management behavior of multivariate logistic regression analysis drug use behaviors, diet control and diabetes education are protective factor.2. Contrast to the control group, the mean FPG reduced by9.3%, the compliance rate increased by33.3%(P<0.05) in intervention group, the medication discrepancy reduced by64.7%(P<0.05) in intervention group, the incidence of ADE decreased by44.0%(P<0.05) in intervention group, the quality of life of patients with favorable rate increased by70.3%(P <0.05) in intervention group. Conclusion:According to blood glucose impact factors of type2diabetes mellitus, we provide patients with a standardized, systematic pharmaceutical care, in order to further the patients’safe, effective, rational drug therapy which has great clinical significance.
