The Design Of The Hospital Information System Network And Database

In today’s information society, modernization of hospital operation has been inseparable from the computerization of hospital information systems. At the same time, the development of medical information has put forward a new demand to computer networks and databases. The subject was combine with the establishment of medical information system in No.2Hospital in Zhangjiakou, and the discussion on HIS system architecture which is the new medical information needs, and on the basis of the large number of studies on the medical information data complete network infrastructure construction and the database was made.In this paper, the main work is divided into three parts:First, for the particularity of the medical data, much work for the standard definition of medical data, information classification and coding of unity was done, and the unstructured medical data representation and extraction, text and image data conversion, not recognizing the type were solved; Second, according to the requirements of Zhangjiakou No.2Hospital the network architecture was designed; Third, the hospital information system database design was completed. According to Zhangjiakou No.2Hospital previous database useing Power Designer for reverse engineering to generate SQL and JAVA code, then Rational Rose2003modeling tool was applied to, complete the database design. Such a database can make doctors and patients convenient and establish a platform in accordance with the national medical standards, and it can also promote medical research. Rose allows developers to convert demand and the architecture of the system into code in the software development cycle, make requirements and the architecture of the system into visualization. After the completion of the project, we will build a good network of small and medium-sized HIS system architecture, with the characteristics which is stable, secure, open, high in performance, low in cost, and so on; Database design not only meets the hospital’s daily information management, but also provides a platform which satisfies the national medical standards and promote medical research.Network construction of the project meets the needs of hospitals and retains room for future expansion and improvement, and the database design perfectly meets the system requirements, compared with other HIS system, which has its own characteristics and advantages. And the databases has been used in Zhangjiakou No.2Hospital and improved the efficiency of hospitals.
