Objective:To envaluate Left ventricular (LV) systolic torsion function in patientswith noncompaction of ventricular myocardium (NVM) by two-dimensional strainimaging (2D-SI).Methods:Two-dimensional LV short-axis images at the level of mitralvalve, papillary muscle and apex were acquired in50patients with NVM,28of whichwere with normal sized LV end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD),and22with increasedLVEDD.So were the images in25age-matched controls.Curves and peak values ofsystolic torsion and circumferential strain were obtaine by2D-SI.Results:There was no difference in the peak systolic rotation and the peak systolictorsion of each level between the NVM-1group and normal contorls; The peak systolicrotation and the peak systolic tortion of each level were lower than NVM-1group auelthe normal controls.Conclusions:2D-SI can evaluate the myocardial contractile function of each levelmore precisely in patients with NVM.It can offer a new methods in diagnosis of NVMand also can be very beneficial to the clinical treatment.... |
