| Objective To observe the short-term and the long-term effect on treating ulcerative colitis with combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment by stages and its influence on quality of life.Methods The research based on92cases of outpatients who were confermed to be ulceratie colitis in active phase.They were randomly divided into treatment group48cases,44cases of the control group. Different according to the severity of the disease, giving the treatment group with the Thanh Hoa Huoxue grabbing ulcer Fang oral and enema treatment with Western medicine standardized treatment in the active phase, while mitigation for compliance with Spleen wet Yun card patients were gieven to the ISED Huoxue square oral with Western standardized treatment to maintain remission;both activity and remission were gieven to Westen Medicine standardized treatment of the control group. The course of treatment is24weeks, then analyze the clinical efficacy after the end of treatment, Following up to32weeks to observe recurrence.Results Short-tern effect:Both the two groups have an effect on improving diarrhea (P<0.05), and at the same onset time equally (P>0.05).Treatment group is more effective and efficient than the control group of improving the symptoms of pus and blood stools, abdominal pain, bloating (P<0.05);In the aspects of improving tenesmus,both the treatment group and the control group has the same curative effect (P<0.05), while the treatment group is earlier than the control group at the onset time.Treatment group is more effective than the control group in improving the symptoms of anal burning (P<0.05), but no significant difference (P>0.05) in onset time. Treatment group can obviously improve the food less poor appetite, lassitude symptoms (P<0.05), while the control group showed no improvement(P>0.05). Mucosal healing rate of the treatment group compared with the control group, there was statistically significant,the former which27.91%was more effect than the latter which12.12%(P<0.05); After the end of treatment, the treatment group remission rate was89.58%, control group remission rate was70.45%, compared the two groups, the treatment group than the control group (P<0.05). Long-term effct:Followed up for32weeks, the relapse rate in treatment group was4.65%, the relapse rate of the control group was19.35%, compared with two groups of recurrence rate, treatment group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, there was statistically significant in the points of colonoscopy and pathology between treatment group compared and control group,(P<0.05).Compared with control group whose total efficiency of TCM syndromes is81.82%, the treatment group has the95.83%with a statistically significant (P<0.05). The quality of life of two groups of patients have been improved significantly after treatment(P<0.01). The treatment group was significantly better than the control group at improving systemic symptoms, social function(P<0.05), while no significant difference (P>0.05) in improving bowel symptoms and emotional symptoms; Two groups of safety indexes were not significantly different before and after treatment (P>0.05). The control group during the treatment and3cases of liver damage,2cases of white blood cells decreased slightly, the patients in the treatment group were normal, two groups had no difference in safety indexes before and after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion Staging treatment of ulcerative colitis curative effects of integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (remission, mucosal healing) is improved obviously, and can reduce the recurrence (long-term effect), improve the quality of life of patients, has good safety, it is better than pure western medicine standardized treatment and worth further clinical application. |
