Obsjective:To discuss the neuropsychological development outcome of the children diagnosed with neonatal seizures, and to analyse the risk factors which influence the result in the perinatal period,so the theoretical basis can be provided for the possibility of predicting effectively the bad consequences of the children diagnosed with neonatal seizures, the relevant intervening measure can be give to improve neuropsychological development result. Methods:To follow-up visit the children diagnosed neonatal seizures by phone or short message. These children were burned in neonatal intensive care unit of the center people’s hospital of Shandong Tengzhou from October2010to October2011.Neuropsychological development testing and physical examination were conducted to evaluate the neuropsychological development situation when they were aged1.5-2.5years old. Neuropsychological development scale for Children aged0~6years made by Capital Institute of Pediatrics were used to test their Developmental quotient(DQ). According to the score of DQ grading, these children can be divided into normal group (DQ score85points or higher) and backward group (DQ score84points or less).Epidata3.0database of the survey data of the factors in the perinatal period of the two groups of the children (mothers’age, passive smoking of mothers, complications during pregnancy, intrauterine infection, the number of the fetus for this pregnancy, abnormal fetal heart rate, neonatal asphyxia, amniotic fluid were contaminated by meconium, the abnormal placenta, an abnormal umbilical cord, delivery way, gender of infants, complications, etc.)were established.SPSS17.0software package was used to statistical analysis, single factor analysis for X2test, multiple-factorial analysis for Logistic regression analysis to establish independent risk factors,to discuss the factors in the perinatal period which influence the outcomes of neural psychological development of the children.Result:85cases of children with Neonatal seizures were treated by our hospital in October2010to October2011,accounted for4.65%of newborn in hospital during this period. The research follow-up visited71cases successfully, which were45cases (63.3%)in normal group (DQ score85points or higher) and26cases in backward group (DQ score84points or less), rejecting8death cases and6cases with the incomplete information.Single factor analysis showed that the differences of mothers’age, passive smoking of mothers, complications during pregnancy(gestational hypertension, diabetes, anemia), intrauterine infection, polyembryony, abnormal fetal heart rate, the abnormal placenta and/or umbilical cord, neonatal asphyxia, amniotic fluid were contaminated by meconium, male children, children with respiratory failure and/or hyperbilirubinemia is significant statistically, multiple factors regression analysis showed that mother with gestational diabetes, intrauterine infection, polyembryony neonatal asphyxia and neonate with respiratory failure as an independent risk factor. Conclusion:neonatal sezures in children with higher proportion of neuropsychological development lags behind, there were plenty of prognostic factors. The relevant factors influencing the outcomes of neural psychological development in children including mothers’age, passive smoking of mothers, complications during pregnancy(gestational hypertension, diabetes, anemia), intrauterine infection, polyembryony, abnormal fetal heart rate, the abnormal placenta and/or umbilical cord, neonatal asphyxia, amniotic fluid were contaminated by meconium, male children, children with respiratory failure and/or hyperbilirubinemia. The independent risk factors including mother with gestational diabetes, intrauterine infection, polyembryony neonatal asphyxia and neonate with respiratory failure. They were all closely related to the prognosis of children.
