Objective To investigate Zhuling,Zexie and Their Combined Use on theconcentrations of TGF-β1and TNF-αin lung tissues in rats with pulmonaryfibrosis and explore the mechanism of treating pulmonary fibrosis withZhuling,Zexie and Their Combined Use.Methods Seventy-two male Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups,twelve rats were in each group.Then five groups induced pulmonary fibrosiswith bleomycin endotracheally which were model control group, Prednisoneacetate treated group, Zhuling treated group,Zexie treated group, Zhuling andZexie treated group,while normal control group was given normal salineinstead.Each group was given relevant medicines in the following day. Halfrats were sacrificed on the fourteenth day and the left ones were sacrificedon the twenty-eighth day.The rat lung histopathology was examined with HEstaining and the expressions of TGF-β1and TNF-α in lung tissues wereexamined with Immunohistochemistry method.Experimental data related withSPSS17.0statistical software for statistical processing.Results (1)Rats general situation and pathology indicator of animal model copysuccess.Compared with model group, alveolitis and fibrosis were alleviatedof the rats in treatment groups,while the expressions of TGF-β1and TNF-α in treatment groups were a little weak than those in model controlgroup(P<0.05) on the fourteenth and twenty-eighth day;The expressions of TGF-β1and TNF-α in prednisone acetate treated group were weaker than thosein other treatment groups(P<0.05);The experssions of TGF-β1in zhuling andzexie treated group was a little weak than those in zhuling treated group andzexie treated group on the fourteenth day(P<0.05).And there were notsignificant differences compared with those among zhuling,zexie and zhulingand zexie treated group on the twenty-eighth day;(4)The experssions of TNF-α in zhuling and zexie treated group was a little weak than those in zhulingtreated group and zexie treated group(P<0.05) which were not significantdifferences compared with each other.Conclusion Zhuling,Zexie and Their Combined Use can inhibit the express ofTGF-β1and TNF-αin lung tissues in rats with pulmonary fibrosis.
