Objective: To observe the role of intervention time in treating primarydysmenorrhea and to compare the differences among throw groups as to provide clinicalevidence for best needle-intervention time.Methods:90patients of primary dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into threedifferent groups, needling before period group, needling immediately with primarydysmenorrhea group, and control group.30cases in each group,6patients were dropped. To observe changes in SF-MPQ, and to compare differences among three groups. Results: Comparing with before treatment, there was no difference in threegroups(P>0.05). There was no difference in control group before and after threeperiods(P>0.05). And there was difference between two needling groups aftertreatment(P<0.05). There was difference between before and after treatment in eachneedling group seperately(P<0.05). Compare with control group, there was difference ineach needling group seperately(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Needling Shiqizhui before period and needling Shiqizhuiimmediately with primary dysmenorrhea can both significantly reduce the symptomaticmarking of SF-MPQ.2. The first treatment cycle of needling immediately with primarydysmenorrhea group is effective, the efficacy of the two treatment groups canaccumulate.3.Needling when pain occurs is superior to needling Shiqizhui before periodfor primary dysmenorrhea.
