Objective: In order to deepen the understanding of the disease of subtalar jointdislocation and improve the level of diagnosis and treatment, we give them who were thepatients of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicinein the past8years an statistically analysis of their cause of the illness, types, populationdistribution, ways of curing diseases, and long-term complications; and have anexploration of the injury mechanism, reduction method, and the reasons for the failure ofclosed reduction, operation mode and so on, based on the retrospective study andfollow-up Investigation of the patients of the subtalar joint dislocation. Methods: we analyse the clinical data of21patients who were followed the standardby statistical software SPSS17.0,based on the standard reduction and the standard of boneunion of fracture and AOFAS(American foot&Ankle Society) ankle and hindfootscore (100points) evaluation criteria. Results: The age of onset of the relative concentration;Cause of disease, gender ofpatients had significant statistical difference (P<0.05); There is significant differencebetween the damage form and type distribution (P<0.05);There are significant differencesbetween treatments distribution, there was significant difference in total score of differenttreatment methods,long-term postoperative complications with sinus tarsi syndrome andsubtalar joint osteoarthritis.Conclusion:1. Patients aged from18years old to47years old, mean age (32.81±14.05) years old.2. Significant gender differences, most of males; injured limbs mostly tothe right lower limb, but no significant statistical difference.3. Main causes for the falling, followed by accident, crush injury, sprain in sports.4. The incidence of the closeddislocation is high, open rare; the incidence of medial dislocation is high, lateraldislocation rare.5. The failure rate of closed manipulative reduction is about23.8%.6.Open reduction with low scores.7. The rate of excellent and good was81%in this groupof patients, shows that the current treatment is feasible.
