Objective: To explore the early clinical curative effect on the treatment of femoral neck fracture with open reduction hollow screw internal fixation and closed reduction screw internal fixation. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 37 patients with complete and not lost to follow-up from May 2014 to May 2017 in the first affiliated hospital of GuangXi medical university.20 patients were treated with open reduction internal fixation and 17 patients were treated with closed reduction internal fixation. All of them were used three hollow screws. The two groups of patients were compared with the length of stay, hospitalization cost, duration of operation, accidental bleeding in operation and postoperative pain score on the first day(by using visual analogue scale,VAS),the last follow-up Harris hip score, full weight bearing time and postoperative complications(nonunion of fracture, avascular necrosis of femur head)to evaluate the early clinical effect ofinternal fixation for femoral neck fracture. Results: Patients who treated with open reduction internal fixation were more likely to have a long time and a lot of surgical bleeding during operation time and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The compare to the length of stay, hospitalization cost and postoperative pain score on the first day(by using visual analogue scale,VAS),the last follow-up Harris hip score, full weight bearing time and postoperative complications(nonunion of fracture, avascular necrosis of femur head)was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).Conclusions: Patients with femoral neck fracture should be treated with strong and accurate internal fixation.Closed reduction internal fixation has fewer traumas for patients. Therefore, patients with most femoral neck fractures should be treated as early as possible in closed reduction and can get better clinical efficacy. For those who are unsatisfied with closed reduction, open reduction internal fixation can also be performed and can also get satisfactory results.
