Application Of Modified Oblique Shorter Incision In Upper Ureterolithotomy

Objective To compare operative patterns of traditional oblique waistincision, waist straight incision and the modified waist oblique incision forthe treatment of upper ureteral calculi.To investigate the clinicalapplication value of modified waist oblique incision in upperureterolithotomy.Methods101patients with upper ureteral calculi in this hospital fromJanuary2008to October2011were selected and divided into3groups, thetraditional group(32cases)by adopting the traditional oblique waist incision,the waist straight incision group(26cases) by adopting the waist straightinsion and the modified waist oblique incision(43cases) by adopting themodified waist oblique incision for performing upper ureterolithotomy. Theeffects were compared among3kinds of operative patterns.Such asoperation time, surgical incision size, blood loss, calculi mobility,Postoperative activity time, pain index，and so on.Result The operation time, operative incion size, blood loss volume,leaving bed time, postoperative pain index and calculi mobility showedstatical differences among3groups(P<0.05). Conclusions Modified waist oblique incision has the advantages ofless damage, little pain, rapid recovery, and so on.
