Objective: To test the blood flow velocity of posterior ciliary artery ofpatients with nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(NAION)byultrasound microbubbles(SonoVue).Observe the posterior ciliary artery andblood flow velocity changes, and to investigate the relationship between theblood flow changes and the incidence of NAION.Methods: SonoVue was performed on28NAION patients (33eyes)with the clinically diagnosed and28normal cases (28eyes) as control. Thedistribution, status and the flow velocity of posterior ciliary artery wasobserved. Results: The flow velocity of posterior ciliary artery of the NAIONgroup was2.82±0.88cm/s, and that of normal group was4.90±1.00cm/s.All of the result has statistically significant difference (P<0.01).Conclusions: This study provides a new visualized and real timetechnology for the diagnosis of NAION and the evaluation of the flowvelocity of posterior ciliary artery, meanwhile it enhances the objectivity and feasibility of Ultrasonic diagnosis on the nonarteritic anterior ischemic opticneuropathy. |
