Objective By analyzing the imaging data of the sick and normalchildren of all ages to explore Atlanto-Dental Interval, the LateralAtlanto-Dental Space and Rotatory Angle of the atlas on dentatain inclinical applications, to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and help. Methods To collect clinical data of atlantoaxial rotatory subluxationin our hospital in August1,2008to December31,2012. To collect normalcranial CT imaging data from December1,2010to March1,2013randomly at the same time. Measure Atlanto-Dental Interval, the LateralAtlanto-Dental Space and Rotatory Angle of the atlas on dentata. Statisticalanalysis.Results1.Case and normal groups of all ages ADI mean differenceby T-test was statistically significant (P <0.05). By the results of ADI meancomparison between the group of normal children of all ages, we dividedthe normal group into Preschool(<6years old) and school-age (≧6-year-old), two groups have statistically significant mean differences by Ttest (P <0.05), and95%of its normal reference range(0~3.15mm and0~3.15mm).2.Case and normal groups of all ages VBLADS mean difference byMann-WhitneyU test was statistically significant (P<0.05),VBLADS mean comparison between the group of normal children of all ages was notstatistically significant (P>0.05), it was merged into a single group ofchildren, and95%of its normal range was0to2.20mm.3.Normal group of children between the ages RAAD mean differencewas not statistically significant (P>0.05), All data were normal distributionnormality check (D-test), and95%of its normal range was0~5.23°.Conclusion1.The diagnosis of children atlantoaxial rotatorysubluxation could not simply depend on imaging examination, we shouldcombine with medical history, clinical manifestations, symptoms and signs.2.We think the auxiliary examination of atlantoaxial rotatorysubluxation should be preferred to CT examination.3. Atlanto-Dental Interval(ADI)≧3.5mm, the Lateral Atlanto-DentalSpace(VBLADS)>2.2mm, Rotatory Angle of the atlas on dentata(RAAD)>5°have important clinical significance in the diagnosis of childrenatlantoaxial rotatory subluxation.4.The simple Lateral Atlanto-Dental Space(LADS) widened orasymmetry have little help in diagnosis of children Atlantoaxial RotatorySubluxation.
