The Clinical Observation Of EDTA Assistant C-pilot Files In Dredging Calcified Root Canal

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of EDTA assistant C–Pilot files in dredgingcalcified root canal, Explore the effective methods to dredge the calcified root canal,improve the success rate of root canal treatment.Methods: May2012to October2013, received treatment in Yinchuan City DentalHospital dental pulp Division for various reasons, need root canal treatment of patients,50cases of patients met the inclusion criteria,62calcified root canals, dredge the calcified rootcanal with EDTA and C-Pilot files in one or multiple visits，then prepared with stainlesssteel K-files in the step-back techniques, the lateral condensation obturation techniques tocomplete the root canal filling obturated.Results: In62calcified root canals,41were successfully prepared and obturated, with su-ccess rate of66.13%. However,2canals ended with transportation and ledge. No perfor-ation or instrument separation was recorded.Conclusion: Using C-Pilot files combined with EDTA in one or multiple visits couldeffectively increase the rate of calcified root canal of dredging, is worth popularizing inclinical application.
