Objective:We retrospectively analyzed the curative effect of external noninvasivecardiac pacing which had been used on the patients with sudden cardiac arrest andbradyarrhythmia in pre-hospital emergency.Methods:103cases of sudden cardiac arrest and bradyarrhythmia (which with seconddegree type Ⅱatrioventricular block or above, the same as below) were collected between2010January and2014January in The Second Hospital of Zhao Qing City first aid. Thesecases were divided into groups,to observe the effect of noninvasive pacing by pacemaker, according to the noninvasive pacing or not being used on the scene. Pacing group: Therewere53patients with sudden cardiac arrest and bradyarrhythmia who were paced between2012January and2014January. Pacing group according to the diagnosis were divided intosudden cardiac arrest group24cases and bradyarrhythmia group29cases. Control groups:There were50patients with sudden cardiac arrest and bradyarrhythmia who were not beenused pacing between2010January and2011December (at that time there were no theinstrument). The control group according to the diagnosis were divided into sudden cardiacarrest group24cases and bradyarrhythmia group26cases.Each group was not statisticallysignificant differences in age, severity of illness, but comparable. Results: In the pacing group24patients with sudden cardiac arrest there were13cases ofsuccessful pacing. The average pacing threshold was(81.25±17.58)mA. The success rateof pacing (equal the success rate of rescue)was54.1%. In the control group24patientswith sudden cardiac arrest there were5cases of successful rescue. The successful rate was20.8%. In the pacing group29patients with bradyarrhythmia there were28cases ofcardiac pacing success, the average pacing threshold was(68.45±10.87) mA, the successrate of pacing(equal the success rate of rescue) was96.5%. In the control group26patients with bradyarrhythmia there were17patients who were treated by intravenousisoproterenol, which heart rate could rise and a rise in blood pressure, which could reducethe symptoms of dizziness, fainting. The effective rate of treatment was65.3%.We compared the pacing group with the control group, the success rate of rescue statistically,P<0.05, there were significant difference.Other complications were not found in all of thepatients through noninvasive temporary pacing therapy. Conclusion: The external noninvasive cardiac pacing which was used on patients whichwith sudden cardiac arrest and bradyarrhythmia when they were in pre-hospital emergencytreatment,it had a good effect. So it should be popularized and applied in pre-hospitalemergency treatment.
