ObjectivesThis experiment is designed to study the impacts of angelica naphtha on gastricantrum and duodenal smooth muscle myoelectricity activities in rats, analysis of thecharacteristics and laws of the role of angelica naphtha on gastrointestinal smoothmuscle, so as to provide the reference for discussing the value of angelica naphtha inthe treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases.MethodsWistar rats were fasted for18h, with anesthesia10%chloral hydrate, and madesurgical exposure stomach and small intestine, silver needle electrode respectivelyfrom perpendicular to the longitudinal muscle of gastric antrum and duodenal wasinclined stab to the muscular subserosal2mm, and then the electrode was connectedto the BL-420F biological functional experimental system. Setting up experimentalsystem to study rats gastrointestinal smooth muscle myoelectricity activities.Establishment of positive control drug groups, including atropine group, verapamilgroup and domperidone group, in the changes of slow wave myoelectricity activitiesof gastric antrum and duodenal smooth muscle was observed as detection indicators,to observe the effects of angelica naphtha on the gastro antrum and duodenal smoothmuscle myoelectricity activities of anesthetized normal rats in vivo, and also toobserve the effects of angelica naphtha on the gastro antrum and duodenal smoothmuscle myoelectricity activities of anesthetized normal rats which was induced byneostigmine, barium chloride and dopamine, in the end, analysis of the angelicanaphtha impact on rats gastric antrum and duodenal smooth muscle myoelectricityactivities.Results1) Angelica naphtha in dosage (0.2%) and low dose (0.1%) showed inhibi-tory effects on the frequency and amplitude of slow wave myoelectricity activ-eties in anesthetic rats gastric antrum smooth muscle, but for duodenal smooth muscle showed the opposite effects; on the contrary, when high dosage (0.4%)represented excitatory effects on the frequency and amplitude of slow wave m-yoelectricity activities in anesthetic rats gastric antrum smooth muscle, likewiseor duodenal smooth muscle also showed the opposite effect.2) Angelica napht-ha groups of three different doses (0.4%、0.2%、0.1%) showed obviously anta-gonism effect on the changes of slow-wave myoelectricity activities both frequ-ency and amplitude in rats gastric antrum and duodenal smooth muscle whichwas induced by neostigmine, on the characteristics of concentration-response re-lationship curve its and antagonist atropine presented the same change.3) Ang-elica naphtha groups of three different doses(0.2%、0.14%、0.1%) showed obv-ious antagonism effect on the slow-wave myoelectricity frequency changes of duodenal smooth muscle induced by barium chloride, and in the aspects of con-centration response relationship curve characteristics its and verapamil is a highdegree of consistency.4)Angelica naphtha in high dosage (0.2%) showed in-hibitory effects on the frequency and amplitude of slow wave myoelectricity a-ctivities in anesthetic rats gastric antrum and duodenal smooth muscle smoothmuscle induced by domperidone, and in the aspects of concentration-response r-elationship curve characteristics its and dopamine is a high degree of consiste-ncy.Conclusions1) Angelica Naphtha has the opposite effect on the frequency and amplitude ofnormal slow wave myoelectricity activities in anesthetized rats gastric antrum andduodenal smooth muscle.2) Different concentrations of angelica naphtha have"two-way" effects on the frequency and amplitude of normal slow wave normal slowwave myoelectricity activities in anesthetic rats gastric antrum and the duodenumsmooth muscle.3) Angelica naphtha showed obviously antagonism effects on thefrequency and amplitude changes of slow wave normal myoelectricity activities inanesthesia rats which was induced by neostigmine gastric antrum and the duodenumsmooth muscle, this effect may be related to block M receptor.4) Angelica naphthashowed significant antagonism on the frequency changes of slow wave normal myoelectricity activities in anesthesia rats duodenal smooth muscle inducing by BaCl2,which may be related to blocking the calcium iron channels.5)Angelica naphthashowed significant antagonism on the frequency and altitude changes of slow wavenormal myoelectricity activities in anesthesia rats duodenal and gastric antrum smoothmuscle induced by domperidone, which may be related to agitate the dopaminereceptors.
