Objective:To detect the expression of Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid Type1(TRPVl) receptor in the female overactive bladder (OAB) patient, and to investigate its clinical significance in the female OAB patient.Method:The expressions of TRPV1in21cases of the female OAB patients and9cases of normal bladder were detected by using immunohistochemistry SABC assay, and the intensity of TRPV1expression were quantified by average optical density(AOD), two groups were compared with AOD values and urodynamic datas. Results:The AOD values of TRPV1expression in OAB patients was significantly higher than the normal bladders (respectively,0.4834±0.1252,0.3658±0.1009,P<0.05). We also found the significant difference between the female OAB patients and the healthy women in the urodynamics parameters, which included maximum flow rate, first desire volume, strong desire volume, maximum cystometric capacity and bladder compliance. Conclusions:Compared with the normal bladder, the expression of TRPV1was obviously up-regulation in the female OAB patient. TRPV1may involve in the development of the female OAB, which indicates that bladder hypersens may play an important role in the pathogenesis of female OAB.
