Objective To investigate the effective regimen and security to treat the hepatitis C virus(HCV) recurrence after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT).Method the clinical data of9cases related HCV after liver transplantation wereretrospectively analyzed.5patients with recurrent hepatitis C virus after OLT were selectedfor treatment, all of them were to receive pygylated interferon-2a and ribavirin. Theprogress of treatment lasts48weeks. Observed the change of indicators than beforeantiviral treatment, as the hemoglobin, white blood cells, pletlet, transaminase, HCV RNAcopies, assessed the early viral response (EVR), sustained viral response (SVR) and theeffects of adverse reactions.Result Three cases obtained EVR in12weeks, all of them obtained SVR after finishingthe treatment, and the function of the liver returned to normal; one case, his HCV RNAdeclined by less than102copies after12weeks of treatment, then stop the treatment; onecase, his HCV RNAdeclined greater than102copies after12weeks of treatment, continue to24weeks, the treatment stopped for HCV RNA were always positive, but HCV RNAremained at a low level when the review went at48weeks. All of5patients have sideeffects after antiviral treatment, and then all of them were improved after givensymptomatic treatment. Conclusion To treat the recurrence of hepatitis C virus in timely after orthotopic livertransplantation by pygylated interferon in combination with ribavirin was safe, and themajority of patients could achieved sustained virological response.
