| Terahertz Science and Technology is recognized as an important interdisciplinarycutting-edge technology, with lots of unique characteristics. Since its range is betweenmicrowaves and infrared, it can be used as the fingerprint spectrum of many biologicalmacromolecules to verify its collective intermolecular vibrations and lattice vibrations, soit has many important applications in chemical and biomedical fields. Along with themodernization of the life, Kidney stones as the common disease become more and morepopular in the human bodies, whose long-term presence has obvious damage to the liverand other parts. Therefore, whether accurate detection of the Kidney stone compositionhas a deep influence of the further treatment, and become one of the most difficult clinicalproblems.This research randomly studying34samples from all the240kidney stone samples,which contains the mainly ingredients such as calcium oxalate monohydrate,dicalciumphosphate dihydrate, L-cystine and anhydrous uric acid. By comparing theterahertz spectra of the pure component and kidney stones, broadly determine the mainlyingredients’ terahertz characteristic absorption frequency and the internal interactionmechanism between kidney stones’ components and the terahertz radiation. Determinecomponents and proportion of the measured samples via the neural network architecture,which could explain the practical values of the neural network analysis by the result of thetheoretical simulation and the tested initial conditions.In the experiment, firstly, use Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to verify theaccuracy of the randomly selected kidney stones’ ingredients, then detect the terahertztransmission spectra with the terahertz time-domain spectroscopy detector, Mini-Z Z-3ABCD which are invented by the company Z-omega. We can distinguish the differentterahertz absorption peaks from the experimental results clearly, and reflect theinformation of different component-specific functional groups, which could verify thepresence of the component substances and make a good distinction. This research couldprove the feasibility of the kidney stones’ clinical detection with terahertz time-domainspectroscopy detector such as Mini-Z Z-3and ABCD. |
