The Research of women’s medicine in the Medieval ages has become aeager topic in the field of Women’s Scientific and technological development history.The efflorescence of the Medical school of Salerno not only makes it of thegathering place for western medical research, these explosions in medical thoughtand writing happened here, but also provides an opportunity for women to getmedical knowledge and involved in medical industry. During this time, a few womenhere accepted professional medical training. In the twelfth century, the developmentof women’s medicine in Salerno mainly manifested in a mysterious female doctornamed Trotula and the book named after her. This works for the first time try to fusethe new Arabic medicine with the old traditional Hippocratic medicine. Thus itbecame the foundation for later Medieval Latin views of female physiology andpathology.The Trotula was one of the most famous physicians in Salerno, This work wascomprised of there chapters pertaining to special health issues of women,includingOn the Conditions of Women, On Treatments for Women and On Women’sCosmetics. Depended on this work, my paper focused on how women medical dealswith diseases of parturition, care of the newborn and pregnancy, and their cognitionto women’s bodies. Through analysis The Trotula and some related medicalmessages in the medieval ages, we can resolve certain questions. Firstly, we explorethe background of the rise of Medieval women medicine, and the medical theory inthe Medieval ages; Secondly, discussed the female therapist how to classify,diagnose and treat women’s disease, as well as the cosmetology, health care;Finally, investigate the characteristics and the situation of female medical with agender perspective, which can made us deep understanding about Salernitanwomen’s own views of their bodies and social circumstances of women’s healthcare.And we fond the pharmaceutical ingredients in the medieval ages was veryinteresting.
