Transcranial electric stimulation is a technique which voltage or current is deliveredat human’s head, then leads to the electrical field or micro-current in the whole head orlocal head, can affect the neuron excitability in the brain tissue and improve nerveconduction function. This technology can be an auxiliary treatment for neurogenic andspirituality diseases of head finally. However, absolutely safety and reliability must beconsidered for transcranial electrical stimulation study (such as stimulation current size,focus depth). So a method which replaces the practical simulation need be found andcan archive more proximate results than the real simulation. Thus, transcranial electricalstimulation finite element analysis and calculation are more suitable for the research.As the study content of this project, in this paper head real3-D model wasreconstructed with CT images through MIMICS, and head model was post-processed byutilizing Geomagic Studio powerful reverse function, so more real3-D shell model ofperson head was obtained. At last, the shell model was imported to ANSYS andconverted to head entity3-D model, then proceeded to analysis and calculation oftranscranial electrical stimulation focus depth and simulation parameters with differentsize and shape electrodes according to the separated head motor cortex3-D model.Though this method, the relationship between electrode shape or size and focus depthcan be found.Based on the theory research, combined with practical need and study objective. Asimple operation and intelligent electrical instrument had been developed throughutilizing32-bit STM32F103ZET6with Cortex-M3core. This instrument could generateadjustable sine-wave, square-wave, sawtooth-wave, can realize two independent controlchannels coupling export. The instrument owns rich parameters setting and displayfunction by software programming. And then the electrical simulation instrument couldexchange electrical field and current treatment mode mutually through differentelectrode configuration: conductive electrode for current treatment, and insulatedelectrode for electric field treatment. Through final debugging and verification, theelectrical equipment export frequency basic range is0.1Hz to5MHz with the accuracyof±3%, and when running, can keep stably and reliably, it had been content with electrical safety standard related to medical instruments.
