The Applied Research Of N-HA/PA66Cage Used In The Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion

Objective:to evaluate lumbar rebuilding stability through the transforaminal lumbarinterbody fusion using the nano-hydroxyapatite/polyamide66(n-HA/PA66) cage.Methods:fifty patients with degenerative lumbar disease were treated with transforaminallumbar interbody fusion using the n-HA/PA66cage,their preoperative and postoperativeclinical results were analyzed.The patients were followed up for two,four,six and eight monthsafter operation,during which lumbar vertebra CR and CT film were checked to get relativeheight of vertebral space,Taillard index,index of lumbar spinal curvature,angle of segmentaland full lumbar lordosis.Follow-up results also contained VAS,ODI,Greenough and fusionrate.The data were compared respectively with pair t-test,analysis of variance or LSD-t-test.Results:all the patients were followed up from eight to thirteen months(mean11.32months).There were significant differences in relative height of vertebral space,Taillardindex,index of lumbar spinal curvature,angle of segmental and full lumbar lordosis betweenpreoperation and postoperation,but there were not significant differences in the differentperiod after operation.Lumbar fusion period was from four to eight months. After the fourmonths,there were significant differences in the lumbar fusion rate between cage and granularautogenous bone that was inside and outside of the cage. There were significant differences inthe different period′VAS and ODI values.According to the standard of Greenough,the goodrate reached ninty percent. Conclusion: n-HA/PA66cage can recover and remain lumbarnormal stability;the fusion period is less than the time of the autogenous bone that was insideand outside of the cage,and it has higher rate of fusion,less complication,low price and goodclinical effect.So the n-HA/PA66cage is a good lumbar cage and is worthy of using inpractice.
