Objective: To investigate the effect of different treatment methods in thestretch spinal cord injury and analysis of its mechanisms. Methods: The whiterabbits spinal cord injury (SCI) model were established by stretching the50%distance of L1/L2facet joint. After creating the model,32rabbits randomlydivided into four groups: blank control group(group A) had no treatment, decompressive laminectomy group(group B)、relieve tension group(group C)、decompressive laminectomy and relieve tension group(group D) were separatelygiven to lamina decompressionrelieve tension、relieve tension and laminadecompression treatment. The1、3、7、14days conducted with BBB scoringmethod to observed the degrees of SCI. The14thday, the rabbits were sacrificedand spinal cord tissue were collected from the center of damage areas, observedby HE staining. Bcl-2and Bax were detected with immunohistochemicalstaining. Results: SCI of rabbits have been established. The7th、14thday thedegrees of SCI in the blank control group were significantly lighter than in thedecompressive laminectomy group, worse than relieve tension group anddecompressive laminectomy and relieve tension group. The expression of Bcl-2in the blank control group was significantly higher than in the decompressivelaminectomy group, relieve tension group and decompressive laminectomy andrelieve tension group compare to blank control group decrease the expression ofBcl-2; in the blank control group of lower expression of Bax than decompressive laminectomy group, higher than relieve tension group and decompressivelaminectomy and relieve tension group; the expression of Bcl-2and Baxbetween in the relieve tension group and decompressive laminectomy andrelieve tension group were no significant difference. Conclusions: The severityof spinal cord injury in the decompressive laminectomy group is moreaggravation than the blank control group, which suggested that laminectomywithout relieve tension,to some extent, could contribute to spinal cord ischemiaand damage aggravated. Meanwhile, it was no significant difference between therelieve tension group and decompressive laminectomy&relieve tension group, suggesting that the combined action caused by spinal cord damage repair andischemia-reperfusion and decompressive laminectomy to ischemia, itsmechanism of action remains to be further research.Furthermore, thedecompressive laminectomy group significantly decreased the severity of spinalcord compared to the control group as well as relieve tension this role may be byadjusting higher the expression of Bcl-2and lower Bax, inhibition cell apoptosisto achieve. The severity of SCI and the ratio of Bcl-2negative correlation andBax positive correlation. Relieve tension is handling with this SCI the mostbasic and the most effective treatment method.
