Objective: Discuss the correlation of the age, gender and sufferer’s thyroidhormone level and interferon induced the severity of the depression inducedby interferon, analysis of patients with chronic hepatitis c and healthy controlgroup and treatment group before and after the Th1/Th2cytokines expressionlevel. Methods: This study applies one Zung depression scale (ZDS) and one Zunganxiety scale (ZAS) for patients to take a psychological evaluation, timelygrasp in patients with depression and anxiety symptom severity, the body forthe detection of patients with thyroid hormone level, and give low doseL-thyroxine and psychological adjuvant therapy, to bring about depressionand/or anxiety of patients successfully completed antiviral treatment. Withchemiluminescence detection of interferon and patients before and afterapplication of thyroid hormone in the body before and after the treatment ofthyroid hormone levels, the separation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells, cells total RNA extraction, RT-PCR reaction, IFN-gamma, TNF alpha, IL4,IL-104kinds of cytokines relative content (%).The results: In patients with older women interferon antiviral treatmentprocess, the more prone to depression symptoms. The thyroid hormone levellower and depression are closely relationship; To low dose L-thyroxinetreatment, patients of depression can be improved. Patients after application ofPEG IFN-alpha-2a treatment, appear different degree of low thyroidfunction, significantly lower serum thyroxine FT3, FT4, TSH levels, there isstatistical difference (p <0.01), and its level of thyroid hormone in the body is lower, the higher degree of the happening of the depression and anxiety; CHCpatients compared with normal control group, Th1cytokine expression level islow, there is statistical difference (P <0.05); The Th2cytokines expressionlevel on the high side, no statistical difference (P>0.05);Th1cytokines IFN-gamma and after treatment significantly increased the expression of TNFalpha level, Th2type cytokines IL-4, and the expression of il-10levelscompared with before treatment there was no significant changeConclusion: The older you get, the interferon antiviral treatment process, thegreater the chance of depressive symptoms occur, the female patients occurthe more possibility of depression than the male patients, therefore, in theactual clinical work, to give high attention. Chronic Hepatitis C patientsapplication interferon antiviral treatment process, the patient’s serum thyroidhormone level reduces, and the occurrence of the depressive symptom ispositively correlated. Chronic Hepatitis C patients application interferonantiviral treatment process, to occur in patients with depression, add smalldose of L-thyroxine, can improve the symptoms of depression, so that patientswith antiviral treatment process can complete smoothly. Interferons and cellfactor and signaling interaction is associated with depression. Th1and Th2immune response induced by cytokines inhibit each other, mutual adjustment,in a state of dynamic balance, maintain normal cellular immunity and humoralimmune function.
