All cases are uniform training of investigators to take the form through telephone follow-up investigation. Illiteracy or other reasons that patients can not complete the investigation, itemized by the investigators asked to assist to complete the questionnaire. The survey included patients generally like survival the treatment the index (GIQL index).Collate and analysis of data using SPSS18.0software. To judge the feasibility, reliability and validity of the scale. Acceptance rate, completion rate and completion time to evaluate the feasibility of scale; through linear regression analysis, t test method to explore the main factors of the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer. Results:The patients’age was not collelated with GIQL scores and other partial parameters of the life quality index such as emotional status, physical functions, social activities and subjective symptoms. With more later clinical stages, GIQL scores, emotional status, physical functions and subjective symptoms except social activities got more worse(P<0.05). Two weeks after operation. the GIQL scores, physical functions and subjective symptoms in laparoscopic group were significantly better than those in open reseetion group (P<0.05), but there were no differences in emotional status and social activities between the two groups. Three months after operation, the GIQL scores and subjective symptoms in laparoscopic group were significantly better than those in open group (P<0.05). But there were no diffrences in emotional status, physical functions and social activities between the two groups. Conclusions:For the gastric cancer patients after surgery the TMN stage and surgical methods is influencing factors of quality of life.
