Objective:The present study aims to investigate the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic-assisted distal gastrectomy (LADG) in gastric cancer, especially in gastric cancer of advanced stage and to compare therapeutic effectiveness of short term in LADG and open distal gastrectomy (ODG).Methods:Totally110cases of gastric cancer were divided into group of LADG and group of ODG. Preoperative general condition, perioperative parameters such as operation time, blood loss, complications was retrospectively analyzed. Results:There were55cases collected in both groups without statistical difference in gender, age, ASA degree, comorbidity and tumor staging. Postoperative pathological data demonstrated no statistical difference in number of lymph node dissected and margin distance in both groups. In LADG group,10cases had complication, while in ODG group,11cases had complication. There was no statistical difference in incidence of complication in both groups. Conclusion:For gastric cancer of early and advance stage, LADG may achieve similar surgical outcome of short term compared to ODG. RCT of large sample was required to confirm the long term prognosis in future. |
