Objective:To investigate the valuation of Lumboperitoneal shunt in treatment of communicating hydrocephalus.Method:From Ocotober2012to April2013we have treated15communicating hydrocephalus patients by Lumboperitoneal shunt,14cases were because of head trauma,1case was post-operation of cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial infection occurred in1case after V-P shunt.They who have L-P shunt are lags in response, urinary incontinence, walking instability or unconsciousness.Result:The symptoms were improved in all patients after operation without infection of the incision or subcutaneous fluid. The short term out-come was satisfactory. Glasgow score improved, sensitive reaction, urinary incontinence, urinate can control and walking stability, All the patients were followed up from1to5months, CT examination demonstrated that the cerebral ventricles return to normal, the symptoms continuous improvement. Conclusion:Lumboperitoneal shunt for communicating hydrocephalus is mini invasive and has less complications and exactly outcome.
