Objective:To investigate the correlation between the serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)、high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels in peripheral serum and Coronary lesion characteristicsin patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:60cases of clinical ACS patients were chosen in this trial, including30cases of acutemyocardial infarction (AMI) and30cases of unstable angina pectoris (UAP).While30cases of stableangina pectoris group (SAP) and30cases of non-CHD group in the same period as control groups;Using four groups of patients’ peripheral serum which were determined by enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay (ELISA) method to compare MMP-9, hs-CRP level difference, while analyzing thecorrelation between the level of MMP-9and hs-CRP with coronary angiography respectively, anddetermining the correlation between MMP-9and coronary lesion characteristics.Results:1.The four groups showed significant difference in plasma hs-CRP levels between each two groups(P<0.01),in which the AMI group>the NAP group>the SAP group> the non-coronary heart disease controlgroup;2.The four groups showed significant difference in MMP-9levels between each two group(P<0.01),in which the AMI group> the NAP group> the SAP group>the non-coronary heart disease controlgroup;3.there was no statistical difference among the AMI group, the NAP group and the SAP group inGensini score. While compared to the control group, all the three groups were higher in Gensini score(P<0.01).4.It showed a significant positive correlation between MMP-9level and the hs-CRP level inplasma(r=0.881, p<0.05);there was no correlation between the MMP-9level and the Gensiniscore(r=0.392,P>0.05).Conclusion:The MMP-9in plasa can predict the stability of coronary lesions of Patients with acute coronarysyndrome, but it can not predict the degree of coronary artery lesions.
