Objectives: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the clinical commongynecological endocrine diseases. These patients generally have sugar, lipidmetabolism, insulin resistance, weight change, often with menstrual disorders,infertility, hirsutism, obesity and bilateral ovarian cystic change as the clinicalmanifestations. Polycystic ovary syndrome is often associated with hypertension,hyperlipidemia, and the risk of diabetes and endometrial cancer increased, seriouslyaffect the health of patients. More than half of patients with polycystic ovarysyndrome associated with obesity and insulin resistance, obesity, polycystic ovariansyndrome patients were more likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease, reduceweight effectively improve patients with endocrine and metabolic indices. The way oflife adjustment of weight control, has become an important part in PCOS treatment,but the treatment cycle is long, the patient dependency requirements higher.Metformin is the clinical commonly used oral antidiabetic drug, metformin can reduceandrogen levels, restore ovulation function and abnormal glucose, lipid metabolism tocorrect, but some patients have nausea, vomiting and other side effects, were notsensitive to metformin. This study is on polycystic ovary syndrome were treated withlifestyle changes, metformin treatment, compare the efficacy and safety of two kindsof treatment methods. Methods: Retrieve the full text of the Chinese JournalDatabase (2003in october to2013in February), Wanfang (2003in october to2013inFebruary), VIP database (2003in october to2013in February), PubMed (2003inoctober to2013in February), Cochrane (2003in october to2013in February) Findgather information about polycystic ovary syndrome metformin, lifestyle adjustmentsto the treatment of the published research literature, The extract selected literaturedata, applications the Review Manager5software for data processing. Result A total of four studies, including236cases of the study group of128cases,108cases of lifemanagement group, many of whom metformin. Wherein each of the groups arereferred to using random allocation, but does not account for the method of generatingrandom sequence. None of the four studies using double-blind hair, three studies onthe exit and lost to follow-the number of cases lost to follow because detaileddescription. Results: The study included4studies, including236subjects, of whichtwo armor biguanide group128cases, control group108cases of life. These groupsare referred to the use of random allocation, but does not account for half of methodto generate random sequences.4studies did not use the double blind,2of them studyon exit and lost to follow-up cases and lost causes are described in detail.
