Objective: To discuss the prognosis and function of women by undergoingpreservative operation treatment of borderline ovarian tumors and malignant ovariantumor. Methods:20cases with ovarian carcinoma undergoing preservative operationfollowed by chemotherapy between Feb2002and April2012whose menstruation, serumsexual hormone levels and reproduction conditions were analysed and patients who didnot receive chemotherapy,undergoing preservative operation treatment alone as controlgroup. Results: The chemotherapy group,abnormal menstruation occurred in70%patients,including40%amenorrhea and30%oligomenstruate and related to the chemotherapycourses.Menstruation of the8cases resumed after chemotherapy. Serum FSH, LH levelsrose and E2level declined during amenorrhea, while2cases of occurred oligomenstruatein control group and sex hormone levels were normal,2of8cases planning reproductiondelivered their children in the chemotherapy group and the children were healthy. So did5of12cases in control group.2cases in chemotherapy group recurred and died. Conclusion:The control group had no obvious damage prognosis of ovarian function; Chemotherapymay destroy the ovary function of ovarian carcinoma cancer patient treated bypreservative operation. Amenorrhea and oligomenstruate and related to the chemotherapycourses. However, chemotherapy-related amenorrhea is reversible. Chemotherapy mayinfluence the fertility, while there are no evidence of causing malformation.
