Crime scene investigation, forensic medicalexamination of living persons and postmortem examination had acquired a certainscientific achievement.Not until the Tang Dynasty,<Law of the Tang Dynasty> alsoexpressly provided inspect and process of the injury,dead,permanent disability whichinvolved law and identification.Obviously,forensic clinic chemical examination wasdeveloping in acient China.Recent years, increasing case concerning individuals with impairment, especiallywith lower limb parcially or totally dysfunction, has been followed up in our ClinicalForensic Dept.Debate surrounding the low extremity takes into account therecognized disparity among current impairment criterions,more specifically,in arch offoot.This study focus forensic clinical impairment rating for social justice andcompensation system with precision,accurity,reliability and validity.The first chapter is categorized as the skeleton,ligments,tendons and muscles ofthe foot, the medial, lateral and transverse arches,small joints between its componentparts. Owing to the complex anatomy of this region,its anatomical and functional discusses was overviewed.The second chapter is designed primarily for above-mentioned destroyedlongitudinal and transversal arches.Conventional physical examination and plainradiographs play an important role in define morphological characteristics,and clinicalmanifestations respectively.The third chapter concerning abnormality in the structure of medial,lateral,transverse arches and classification of current injured/permanent disabilityassessment regulations of China,in figures.The next part consists of156injuredreference databases which collected from center of forensic science,ecupl andHuashan hospital,analysing current inspect method on the injured arch structurepermanent disability assessment,then combining with the cases study the currentsituation of the injured arch structure permanent disability assessment.The lastanalyzed and summarized the current medical jurisprudence issues.The last chapter is the perspective studies for regulating the present-rules ofinjury assessments,including prosecution,jurisdiction,adjustment and compensationfor personal injuries.Then summarizing the principle of forensic science of the injuredarch of foot structure on fair and just,scientific and objective,the best timing.Based onNational Criteria to Evaluation of Impairment,applications of methodologicalcongruity, emphasis on specific injured arches diagnosis-based functional assessmentratings and optimizing intervals for evaluation,lack of validity and reliability inoperators are elucidated.
