Objective: To explore the expression of OPN and Livin in relation to tumor size, clinical stage, and lymph node metastasis of clear cell carcinoma of kidney and nonparameter correlation was used to analysis their change. And analyze the value of theirjoint detection to the diagnosis of renal clear cell carcinoma. Further discuss thereference for occurrence, development and prognosis of clear cell carcinoma of kidney. Methods: The expression of OPN and Livin was examined by immunohistochemistryin63cases (14cases in TNM Ⅰ,23cases in TNM Ⅱ,19cases in TNM Ⅲ,7cases inTNM Ⅳ) of clear cell carcinoma of kidney,38cases of normal renal tissues. Resultswere compared with tumor size, clinical stag, pathology grade and lymphatic metastasisto make the correlation analysis. And analyze the value of their joint detection to thediagnosis of renal clear cell carcinoma. Results:The positive rates of OPN expression was74.1%in RCCC specimens higherthan in normal renal tissues (23.7%)(P<0.05). the positive rate of OPN expressionexperimental groups as follows:65.9%in tumor diameter<7cm,90.9%in tumordiameter(P<0.05); cases with lymph node metastasis94.7%, without lymph nodemetastasis65.9%(P<0.05); TNM Ⅰ+Ⅱ64.9%, TNMⅢ+Ⅳ88.5%(P<0.05). Thepositive rates of Livin expression was49.2%in RCCC specimens higher than in normalrenal tissues (4.2%)(P<0.05). the positive rate of Livin expression experimentalgroups as follows:34.9%in tumor diameter<7cm,72.7%in tumor diamete(rP<0.05);cases with lymph node metastasis84.2%, without lymph node metastasis34.1%(P<0.05); TNM Ⅰ+Ⅱ27.7%, TNM Ⅲ+Ⅳ69.2%(P<0.05). There was no correlationabout their expression (P<0.05). The sensitivity and specificity of their joint detection to diagnose the renal clear cell carcinoma were39.7%and97.4%.Conclusions: The expression of OPN and Livin was closely correlated with tumor size, clinical stag and lymphatic metastasis. It could judge the occurrence, development andprognosis of clear cell carcinoma of kidney. And there was no correlation about theirexpression. The specificity of their joint detection was higher to have some certainsignificance in diagnosis of renal clear cell carcinoma.
