Objective:To compare the microendoscopic discectomy assisted with X-Tube system in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation compare with fenestration discectomy. Methods:Retrospective analysis of30cases of patients with lumbar disc herniation of single segment treated with surgery in our hospital from January2011to December2012,among then,15cases operated with minimally Invasive, male7and female8, mean age41.9years(rang from21-60),15cases operated with fenestration discectomy, male10and female5, mean age44.5years(rang from22-60).the blood loss, preoperative and postoperative serum level of creatine kinase, were observed as well as JOA scores. Results:Blood loss mean loss of minimally Invasive group was (32.67±15.8) ml, was lower than the open group (p<0.05). The index of postoperative serum level of creatine kinase was lower in minimally invasive group than the open group(P <0.05). The mean time of postoperative hospital stay of minimally invasive group (4.4days) is less than the open group(5.6days)(p<0.05).Functional outcomes were quantified using the JOA scores. The average JO A scores of minimally invasive group increased from(17.9±1.01) preoperatively to(25.67±0.49) postoperatively. The improvement rate is (69.3±3.11)%.,which has no significant difference compared with the open group (p>0.05). The outcomes of operation was satisfactory. Conclusion:Minimally invasive posterior lumbar discectomy assisted with X-Tube system in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation can minimize blood loss and tissue trauma, shorten the recovery time, the short—term outcomes is excellent.
