Purpose:To observe the analgesic effect of intra-operative wake-up anesthesia combined with sub-conjunctival injection of lidocaine anesthesia and simple use of sub-conjunctival injection of lidocaine anesthesia in the teenagers horizontal concomitant strabismus and complicated non-concomitant strabismus surgeries, and the influences on the therapeutic effect.Methods:91Patients age from15to25years, who took strabismus surgeries in our hospital from2012June to2013March were collected.70concomitant strabismus patients were allocated randomly into2groups (group1and group2) and21complicated non-concomitant strabismus patients were allocated into group3. Group1and group3were taken surgeries under intra-operative wake-up anesthesia combined with sub-conjunctival injection of1%lidocaine anesthesia when group2simple used sub-conjunctival injection of1%lidocaine anesthesia. Adjustable suture method were used in all surgeries of3groups to observe the eye position, we re-sutured and adjusted the extraocularmuscles when the operative effects were unsatisfied before suturing the conjunctiva. The surgeon assessed the analgesic effect with improved NRS method within1hour after the operation. And patients were followed up in1week,1month and3months after surgeries to observe the therapeutic effect.Result:The statistic analysis of three groups proved that Intraoperative wake-up anesthesia combined with sub-conjunctival injection of lidocaine anesthesia has better analgesic effect than simple use of sub-conjunctival injection of lidocaine anesthesia. And after the statistic analysis of postoperative examination results, there is no significant difference between their influences to the therapeutic effect.Conclusion:Intra-operative wake-up anesthesia combined with sub-conjunctival injection of lidocaine anesthesia can reduce the pain and discomfort during the strabismus surgery effectively. Compared with the traditional local anesthesia with lidocaine, It has better analgesic effect. And because of the intra-operative adjustment of eye position, these two kinds of anesthesia will not influence the therapeutic effect.
