Sabina gaussenii beglongs to the Cupressaceae family. Cupressaceae plants as known as medicinal ompound with wildly biological activity. Until now, the medicine value of Sabina gaussenii is not be developed and utilized. In our present study, Sabina gaussenii was used as experimental materials, and the chemical constituents and biological activity were studied. The results in the present study may be useful for using Sabina gaussenii efficiently. The main results as follows:1. The study on chemical constituents of Sabina gaussenii:19compounds were isolated using silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, Rp18, and ODS chromatographies.12compounds were identified through the spectral methods such as1H-NMR,13C-NMR, DEPT, which including7lignans copounds,2diterpenes,1flavones,1coumarin and1sesquiterpene.The structures were also identified as follows: picropodophyllotoxin, podophyllotoxin, acetylplpodophyllotoxin, pinobanksin, ompound4-O-Demethylyatein,Podorhizol,triptonoterpene,sugiol,isomassonianoside,(7’S8’S-4,7’-Ep oxy-3,3’-dimethoxy-4,9,3’,4’,9’-lignanepentol-4’-O-β-D-glucopyranoside,ambrosanosanol i-10,11-diol.2. The study on antineoplastic activity:the antineoplastic activity of these ompounds was investigated using the SRB method. The results showed that compounds: picropodophyllotoxin,podophyllotoxin,acetylplpodophyllotoxin,4-O-Demethylyatein, triptonoterpene were cytotoxic on BGC-823and HeLa cell lines.
