Objective:To study the clinical experience of Diabetic optic neuropathy(DON)and providereferences for the diagnosis and treatment of it by comparing eyesight, fundus, FFA, VEP andvision before treatment and after it.Methods: Determinating the object of study, making standards of the symptom and technicalways of study, choosing patients getting the exact symptom before clinical features of29eyesof22cases with DON were analyzed retrospectively. Make a form to keep record of clinicalefficacy. The blood glucose was controlled strictly. Drugs can be taken orally or insulininjection can be applied to controll the blood glucose depending on level of blood glucose. IfDR happens, laser treatment should be applied. For some patients, we may use injection ofTriamcinolone acetonide injection after the ball. the compound anisodine hypodermicinjection was applied near the superficial temporal artery, blood circulation drugs were takenorally or intravenous injected, and nutrition optic drugs such as vitaminB1,vitaminB2andinosine tablets etc were also taken. At the same time, the patients were given systemicexamination, including the treatment of the whole body. Establish standards of judgingtreatment efficacy after checking all investigated indexes. The characteristics of fluorescencefundus angiography, visual evoke potential(VEP)and visual field before and after treatmentwere observed. Study Treatment of Diabetic Optic Neuropathy and analyze the data usingstatistics. All date were analyzed by the soft package of SPSS13.0, and P≤0.05is significantdifference or correlation.Results:29eyes of22cases with DON have different symptome. Some are healthy, but somehave serious hypopsia, with papilloedema or congestion. Some patients’ optic disks arehealthy ones, but17people have bad fundus and Diabetic optic neuropathy. As the minimumtreatment time is8days, and the maximum is20days, the average treatment time is13.25days. After the treatment,12eyes of10cases were cured, and10eyes of7cases improvedamong them, the total effective rate was79.3%.7eyes of6cases of DP were cured.6eyes of5cases of AION were cured, and10eyes of7cases were improved.5eyes of3case of Discneovascularization and1eye of1case of Optic atrophy were not cured. Among all the cases,no cases of adverse reaction happened. Treatment of Diabetic Optic Neuropathy helps to cureFundus papilla edema, improve the eyesight, VEP, vision, and FFA of patients.Conclusions:1. Doctors should pay enough attention to Diabetic Optic Neuropathy., and giverelevant check for any possible patients to help them get back eyesight, cure FFA,vision,VEP.This can be good experience for giving advise to patients in the future. 2.Correct diagnosis and integrated therapy for Diabetic Optic Neuropathy in time can improvethe vision,VEP,FFA of patients. This study is a rough study, so we still need to work on it toget it better in order to prevent the illness.
