Webster's Triple Nine Needles Is Used To Evaluate The Therapeutic Effect Of Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy

Research backgroundLeber hereditary optic neuropathy is one of the common mitochondrial related diseases in clinical practice.This disease is most often involved in the onset of young men and adolescence,and once the onset of visual impairment is serious,the prognosis is not good,causing a heavy burden on the individual,family and social psychological and economic.However,there is still a lack of effective treatment in clinical practice.The purpose of this study was to explore the curative effect of Acupuncture prescription of "Wei's triple nine needling therapy",on the treatment of LHON by prospective randomized controlled trial,so as to provide certain reference for clinical application of acupuncture and moxibustion in this disease.This study evaluated the efficacy from three aspects:visual acuity,visual field and electrophysiology.This paper mainly includes two parts:literature review related to LHON and clinical research.Literature reviewIt mainly includes three parts:"research on modern medicine related to LHON","research on LHON in traditional Chinese medicine"and"theoretical basis of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of LHON".In modern medical research related to LHON,the definition,background,epidemiology,pathogenesis,clinical manifestations and treatment of LHON are briefly summarized.In"modern medical research related to LHON",the TCM disease name,origin of the disease name,etiology and pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation and treatment,TCM treatment and other aspects corresponding to LHON are summarized.In the theoretical basis of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of LHON,it summarized the origin and current of acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of blindness,the modern medical research on acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of optic nerve atrophy,and the prescription ideas for the treatment of optic nerve atrophy by Acupuncture prescription of"Wei's triple nine needling therapy".Clinical researchObj ective:to inherit and carry forward the experience and academic thought of traditional Chinese medicine ophthalmology in the school of Wei's ophthalmology,and to explore the curative effect and mechanism of Acupuncture prescription of "Wei's triple nine needling therapy"in the treatment of LHON.Explore and optimize the TCM acupuncture treatment methods of LHON.Methods:in this study,40 cases of patients with LHON were randomly divided into experimental group and control group using the method of prospective randomized controlled study.The treatment group and the control group were given ginkgo biloba capsules,mecobalamin dispersible tablets and vitamin B1 by mouth.Treatment continued for 4 weeks.In the treatment group,20 patients were treated with acupuncture for 5 times a week,and the course of treatment was 4 weeks.The effects of the therapy on visual bioelectricity were recorded,and the changes of vision and visual field were observed before and after the treatment.Results:in the treatment of patients with LHON by acupuncture prescription of "Wei's triple nine needling therapy",the vision of the test group and the control group before and after treatment were compared,and no significant statistical difference was found between the two groups before and after treatment.The visual field of the two groups before and after treatment showed a tendency to improve visual field sensitivity,but there was no significant difference before and after treatment.If the visual field improvement was more than 10%,the effective rate was 45.0%in the experimental group and 21.0%in the control group,and the chi-square test was performed,P=0.025.There was a statistical difference in the effective rate between the experimental group and the control group.It is suggested that the acupuncture prescription of "Wei's triple nine needling therapy"can improve the visual field of patients to some extent.By comparing the electrophysiological results before and after treatment in the experimental group and the control group,P100 wave potential of the graphic VEP has a tendency to shorten,but there is no significant statistical difference between the two groups before and after treatment.Conclusion:Acupuncture prescription of "Wei's triple nine needling therapy"may have significance in improving vision,visual field and electrophysiological results of patients with LHON,which need to be confirmed by further experiments.
