This experiment was conducted with nanometer propolis:in order to know the preparation of nanometer propolis and the effects on rats. The experiment was divided into two groups:one was the preparation method of nanometer propolis and the effects on Decrease Lipoidemia and Anti-oxidation of rats;the other was the effect of nanometer propolis on experimental periodontitis rats.Nanometer propolis was prepared with ethyl acetate as oil phase, polysorbate-80and Span-80as surfactant. The particle size is around270nm, and concentration is9.56mg/ml.Healthy male SD rats were fed with high-lipid pellet feed for5days, then blood from eyepit vein was collected to detect the levels of serum TC, TG and HDL-C. The rats were randomized into4groups. Different feeds for each group were arranged as follows: the control group (without propolis), the high dose group(800mg/kg BW), the middle dose group(400mg/kg BW)and the low dose group(200mg/kg BW). Then they were fed with nanometer propolis and high-lipid pellet feed in the meantime for45d. The blood was collected on the45th day after fed with nanometer propolis and the levels of serum TC, TG and HDL-C were detected.Experiment2:sixty of5-weeks old teeth healthy rats(200g±20g, half of male and female), were randomly allotted to6groups of10rats each.They were control group, model control group, KouTai group, the high dose group(800mg/mL), the middle dose group(400mg/mL)and the low dose group(200mg/mL). half of male and female. The blood was collected and the blood index of periodontitis female and male rats, hormone of periodontitis female and male rats, RBC hemolyses of periodontitis rats were detected. The results showed that:1.Nanometer propolis was prepared with ethyl acetate as oil phase, polysorbate-80and Span-80as surfactant. The particle size is around270nm, and concentration is9.56mg/ml.2.The weight of rats in high dose group decreased significantly,but There are no effects on TC,TG and HDL-C;RBC hemolytic degree in trial group decreased subsequently,but there are no significant difference. 3. Effects on blood index of periodontitis rats:for female, white blood cell (WBC) and inflammatory cell in middle dose group decreased significantly, there were significant differences of WBC on the middle-dose group that compared with model control group(p<0.05).For male, there were significant differences of lymphocyte on the middle-dose group that compared with model control group(p<0.05).4.Effects on hormone of periodontitis female rats:the levels of estradiol and progesterone in serum had no notable regular change after fed with NP for periodontitis female rats, the levels of progesterone decreased significantly on experimental group after fed with NP that compared with model control group(p<0.05).5.Effects on RBC hemolyses of periodontitis rats:there were no significant differences between control group, model control group, KouTai group, the high dose group,the middle dose group and the low dose group.
