Objectives:To detect the methylation level of the Wilms tumor gene-WTX in gastric cancer’s cancerous and precancerous, and normal gastric mucosa. The aim in this study is to discuss the correlation between methylation level of WTX and gastric cancer. Methods:The samples were collected from30gastric cancer patients which had been identified by pathology test and had surgical excision during October2011to June2011. The30samples are divided into cancer groups、precancerous groups and normal groups.Using the Methylation-specitic PCR to detect the methylation level of WTX in each group. Results:The methylation rates of WTX in gastric cancerous group(90%) was obviously high than that of precancerous group(18%) and normal gastric mucosa group(8%),(P<0.05).But the methylation rates between cancerous group and normal group had not Statistical differently。Conclusions:The high methylation rate of WTX in gastric cancerous organization may have important ship in the development of gastric cancer.
