Objective:To study the situation of HIV infections and explore the the epidemic characteristics of HIV-1recent infection among high-risk populations in Tianjin. To analy the prevalence characteristics of HIV and provide reasonable evidence for intervention strategy.Methods:(1)The transect investigations in MSM were conducted three times during2008-2009. Blood samples were collected and detected to identify recent HIV infection with IgG-capture BED-enzyme immunoassay (BED-CEIA), then the HIV incidence was estimated.(2)Blood samples and epidemiological data of reported HIV/AIDS cases in Tianjin2010were collected and detected to identify recent HIV-1infection with IgG-capture BED-enzyme immunoassay (BED-CEIA).Results:(1)1799specimens were tested and the HIV prevalence of each investigation was6.7%、8.6%、6.2%, while the incidence was2.7%、2.5%、2.8%respectively.(3)The estimated incidence among these person was5.36%amd5.52%per year in2008and2009.(3)349of reported HIV/AIDS cases were confirmed from777207people, all87cases of HIV-1recent infections were males, who were mainly from men who have sex with men (MSM), voluntary counseling and testing (VCT), and STD outpatients, amounting to1.48%,0.38%, and0.17%respectively.(4)There was no significant difference in the proportion of recent HIV-1infection between local residents and foreign population.(5)HIV positives who were infected by the homosexual transmission accounted for80.46%of the total of HIV-1newly infected cases. Conclusion:The results of this study showed that the HIV incidence stabilized at high level among MSM in Tianjin and the homosexual contact has become the main route of HIV transmission, effective interventions should be taken in this population for HIV/AIDS control and prevention urgently.
