Objective:To Study Imaging anatomy features of accumbens nuclear on the1.5T MR and search for the best way in displaying nucleus accumbens by means of volume scan, to contrast nucleus accumbens between CAD group and control group,determine the changes of the nucleus accumbens imaging for the clinical value of CAD early diagnosis.Materials and methods:30healthy volunteers (23males and7females) undertook1.5T MR scan using the conventional axial T1WI, T2WI, sagittal T1WI coronal T1WI scan and coronal3D-FFE sequence, accumbens nuclear was displayed in the conventional axial T1WI sagittal T1WI and coronal T1WI and divided into three groups, The images of each group were scored according to the degrees of whether the nucleus accumbens was completely displayed or not independent by two experienced radiologists. accumbens nuclear coronal3D-FFE volume scanned image were reconstructed by different reconstructing angles, the reconstructed images of each group were scored according to the degrees of the nucleus accumbens displayed condition.30chronic alcohol dependence and30of the30patients with normal control group of volunteers (all males) Using a1.5T magnetic nucleus accumbens conventional axial1WI, T2WI scan T1WI of the sagittal and coronal3D-FFE volume scanning.Measure the nucleus accumbens by volume scan image of the CAD group and normal control group,Compare chronic alcohol dependent patients left and right volume differences on both sides of the nucleus accumbens, the left and right sides of the nucleus accumbens volume differences in the normal group, and analysis of chronic alcohol-dependent patients and normal group as a whole differences in the nucleus accumbens volume.Results:nucleus accumbens of30normal subjects conventional coronal T1W1image shows the best and received up to the highest score (P<0.05), nucleus accumbens in Sagittal can be showen but scores below the coronal, the structure of30normal accumbens core in cross-sectional scans can not be displayed. Normal nucleus accumbens in the3D-FFE volume of scanning under reconstruction angle with the front and rear vertical connection Link90°group and the other groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).Among30chronic alcohol dependence group and health group males,the average volume of nucleus accumbens on the right side is larger than it is on the left(P<0.001).Chronic alcohol-dependent patients nucleus accumbens average volume is statistically significant larger than the healthy group nucleus accumbens volume (P<0.001). Conclusions:the best method in1.5T routine scanning conditions T1WI to show the nucleus accumbens is the coronal scan, sagittal scan can display the nucleus accumbens but the number of layers is less than coronal and can not compare the left and right side of the, the axial does not clearly show the nucleus accumbens. The best reconstruction of the nucleus accumbens on3D-FFE coronary volume scan is vertical to the line between anterior-posterior commissure.Among30chronic alcohol dependence group and health group males,the average volume of nucleus accumbens on the right side is larger than it is on the left(P <0.001).Chronic alcohol-dependent patients nucleus accumbens average volume is statistically significant larger than the healthy group nucleus accumbens volume (P <0.001).
