Objective: The risk factors of primary gastric cancer was explored through theinvestigation and study of related risk factors of primary gastric cancer in Dalian; At thesame time, the relationship between the positive expression of VEGF and risk factors ofgastric cancer were detected and the basis of prevention and control of primary cancerof the stomach was provided under the molecular level.Methods:(1) All the participants were the patients of many comprehensivehospitals from June2011to November2011in Dalian who had lived in Dalian morethan10years. The study of1:1case was conducted.100patients were chose for studythat had been in hospitals just now and diagnosed as primary gastric cancer bypathology diagnosis. At the same time100healthy people were chose from the hospitalmedical center as control group. Matching condition was the same gender and less than3age difference. The unified questionnaire was used which was universal designed byspecialized technical guidance. Investigator after the training enquired object of studyface to face. The questionnaire content mainly included general case, diet andpsychology. The database of got material was established by The Excel2003. Thestatistical software of SPSS13.0and SAS8.2were used in the analysis. According tochi-square test, rank and inspection and the single factor condition Logistic, singlefactor analysis was carried. Calculation OR value is95%CI, bilateral detectionsignificant level α is0.05.(2)The specimens pathology organization were collected fromthe stomach cancer patients. Stomach cancer, the cancer tissue cancer organizationVEGF protein expression was detected through immunohistochemistry. The data wasprocessed and analyzed by the SAS software and comparison analysis of difference ofthe groups was carried on. At last, correlation of risk factors of stomach cancer andVEGF protein expression was analyzed. Results:(1) the single factor condition Logistic regression showed that eat sulks、feeding speed、drinking, smoking, high salt, fruits and vegetables, green garlic, drinking green tea, depression state in the long run were the related factors of primarygastric cancer. Many factors Logistic regression analysis suggested that the risk factorsof primary gastric cancer were drinking (liquor was drank at last500g weekly and last40years or more), never or seldom drinking tea and moderate or severe depressionstate.(2) VEGF expressed in cytoplasm and new blood vessels endothelial cells. Thepositive VEGF was yellowish-brown granule. In the100cases of gastric cancer tissuespecimens, the positive rate of VEGF in the gastric cancer tissue was67%(67/100),higher than para-carcinoma tissues which was39%(39/100). VEGF positiveexpression and the strength in stomach cancer tissue had significant relationship withinfiltration depth, TNM staging, lymph node metastasis (P <0.05). VEGF expression ofRisk factors group (the people who was drinking liquor at last500g weekly and last40years or more) and the other group were both higher than para-carcinoma tissuesexpression. VEGF expression in Cancer tissues was mostly high (++~+++). VEGFexpression in para-carcinoma tissues was mostly low (+). VEGF expression of Riskfactors gastric cancer tissue and para-carcinoma tissues higher than other gastriccancer tissue and para-carcinoma tissues. Difference of the VEGF positive expressionrate in groups had a statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion: Long-term drinking liqueur, seldom or never drinking tea andmoderate to severe anxiety depression status were risk factors of primary gastric cancerfor resident in Dalian city. The factors influenced in the expression of occurrence anddevelopment of gastric cancer in molecular level. Besides, VEGF protein expressionwas closely related to invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.
