The traditional Mongolian orthopedics is not only one of the main contents of Mongolian medicine, but also an important part of Chinese cultural heritage. It formed and developed gradually in the long-term medical practice. And it is based on the traditional Mongolian medical theory, and has distinctive ethnic characteristics and unique clinical features.In the process of development, the traditional Mongolian orthopedics has adapted to the natural environment and social foundation. It has been passed down from generation to generation by inheriting and being apprenticed. Moreover, it has always played an irreplaceable role in preventing and treating diseases and in protecting and promoting people’s health level.The thesis is composed of five chapters, they are introduction, chapter one, chapter two, chapter three, and conclusion.In the introduction part, the author offers the reason choosing the topic, and provides the purpose and significance of the study. Meanwhile, the author gives an overview of previous studies in this field.Chapter one provides an overview of the formation and development of the traditional Mongolian orthopedic. Meanwhile, combined with his own practice, the author analyzes the present situation and characteristics of the traditional Mongolian orthopedics.In chapter two, based on the first-hand information he got while doing survey in Inner Mongolia International Mongolian Hospital, the author analyzes the inheriting way of the traditional Mongolian orthopedics in different times. At the same time, the author discusses the change of the traditional Mongolian orthopedics in many respects; like the concept, the inheriting way, the treating way and the treating skills etc.In chapter three, the author discusses the challenges and impact the traditional Mongolian orthopedics faces today and puts forward his suggestions about how to inherit and develop the traditional Mongolian orthopedics. His suggestions are as follows:First of all, the government should give adequate consideration to the development of the traditional medical science while mapping down relevant strategies and should provide an ample space for the development of the traditional Mongolian orthopedics. Secondly, the author advises that the professionals and executives should make efforts to upgrade their technical level and explore continuously while carry on the unique features of own. In other words, the professionals and executives should balance the tradition with the modern technique.The conclusion part summarizes the whole thesis.
