Objective: To explore the risk factors of pulmonary metastasis in breast cancerpatients, and to study if it had correlation between the risk factors of breast cancer andbreast cancer patients with pulmonary metastasis. The risk factors include multi-reproduction factors and tumor family history. Methods: Data of371female breast cancer patients treated in our hospital fromJanuary2004to December2005were reviewed and statistically analyzed. We obtainedthe risk factors of pulmonary metastasis by analyzing the general conditions(patients’age, ER,PR,lymph node metastasis, pathological type, reproduction factors, breast cancer family history, etc)and Logistic multifactor regression analysis methodfor these patients.Results:(1) The average age of the all patients were49.12±10.30(24—80)yearsold.The average age was49.28±10.35years in292cases without pulmonarymetastasis. The average age were48.53±10.13years in79cases with pulmonarymetastasis. There was no significant difference between the age period(P=0.856).(2)comparing non-pulmonary metastasis group with pulmonary metastasis group, therewere statistical significance diffences in the following observation projects:ER++~+++(31.8%vs17.8%; P=0.019), ER positive and/or PR positive(71.0%vs53.4%;P=0.004), triple negative breast cancers (10.3%vs19.7%;P=0.043),Clinical or pathological stage I (12.4%vs3.0%;P=0.027), radiotherapy(71.6%vs49.4%;P=0.000).Comparing non-pulmonary metastasis group withpulmonary metastasis group, there were statistical significance diffences among thefollowing observation projects:Clinical or pathological stages、axillary lymph nodesmetastasis、 use chemotherapy regimen of anthracycline, taxane, platinum and otherchemotherapy regimen (not including anthracycline, taxane, platinum).(3) OR of ER positive and/or PR positive is0.420(P <0.05);OR of Clinical or pathological stage Iis0.547(P <0.05);OR of use chemotherapy regimen of anthracycline is0.487(P<0.01);OR of radiotherapy is0.479(P <0.05)。OR of triple negative breast cancersis2.138(P <0.05);OR of Clinical or pathological stage III is1.830(P <0.05);ORof Metastases in4or more axillary lymph nodes is2.842(P <0.01);OR of use otherchemotherapy regimen (not including anthracycline, taxane, platinum) is2.058(P<0.01).Conclusion:(1)The protective factors of breast cancer with pulmonary metastasiswere as followings: ER positive and/or PR positive, Clinical or pathological stage I,anthracyclines regimen and radiotherapy.(2)The risk factors were three negative breastcancer, Clinical or pathological stage III,Metastases in4or more axillary lymph nodes, other chemotherapy regimen (not including anthracyclines\taxanes\platinum)(3) Therewas no obvious correlation between multi-reproduction factors(menopausal age\reproductive history\parity\breast-feeding history) and tumor family history andbreast cancer with pulmonary metastasis.
