Purpose: To investigate the relationship between some clinical characteristics andprognoses in acute obstructive suppurative cholangitis (AOSC) in order to improve thelevel of diagnosis and treatment.Method: The128cases of AOSC who were admitted to the first affiliated hospitalof Dalian Medical University from March2007to March2012were collected forretrospective study. The relationship between the clinical date such as age; duration ofjaundice, body temperature, white blood cell count, serum bilirubin, serum creatinine,serum urea nitrogen, serum albumin and progress was analysed.Result: Among the128cases of AOSC patients, the etiology of calculous of bileduct was in113cases; benign tumor in3cases; malignant tumor of hepatobiliarysystem in10cases; unknown causes in2cases. There were obvious differences inpatients age, jaundice, body temperature, high white blood cell count, high serum ureanitrogen, a level of serum bilirubin, serum creatinine, long clotting time, plasmaalbumin between death patients and survival patients.Conclusions: There was closed relationship between the patient age, bodytemperature, white blood cells, jaundice duration, level of serum bilirubin, serum ureanitrogen, serum creatinine, clotting time, serum albumin, and the prognosis in AOSC.
