Objective: Children and adolescents are the future and hope, their health related tothe growth of the country’s future development and construction and prosperity, enhance the protection of the national comprehensive strength,so their physical healthhas been the focus of attention. As indicators of physiological function vital capacity, the vision of the health status indicators are commonly used to measure students’physical health status indicators.Although the related research at home and abroad a lot, but most of them arecross-sectional study. Even if some research compare different time points, and be adynamic analysis of trends, but its essence is still a cross-sectional study, and moresuitable for children and adolescents with physical research methods and longitudinalresearch has rarely been used. In this study, the methods of tracking surveys, DalianCity in2004enrolled in7-year-old pupils for six consecutive years of medicalmonitoring, analysis of their vital capacity and the underlying index changes, visiondevelopment and changes in the law, and related factors. Through the above analysis ofthe relevant departments of education and health to develop Countermeasures to providea scientific basis, to effectively improve the physical fitness of young people, protect thehealthy growth of youngsters. Methods: Using stratified cluster sampling method was the basis of samples takenfrom148primary schools of the four districts of Dalian city (ShaHeKouQu,GanJingZiQu, XiGang Qu, and ZhongShanQu). First of all randomly selected twodistricts from the four districts, ShaHeKouQu and ZhongShanQu. Again selected11schools based on school enrollment in2003from these two districts, the last of the11schools in the1059primary school students entered the study. Half-way there are131pupils due to transfer, illness and other reasons can not provide the complete data, andultimately there are928primary school students participated in the study and provided complete data, including514boys and414girls. May-June each year by trained schooldoctor measured height, weight, chest circumference, vital capacity and binocularvision.Use SPSS13.0data entry, sorting and statistical analysis. Using two-factormulti-level repeated measures ANOVA analysis of the boys and girls six years betweenlung capacity and the trend of the index; single factor analysis of variance to analyze therelationship between vital capacity and BMI; rank sum test, chi-square test analysisboys and girls six years the trend of vision.Results:①Six years of elementary boys and girls lung capacity are increased yearby year, and the lung capacity of boys were higher than girls’.②The three vital capacityindex in addition to the12-year-old away with age, increasing year by year, vitalcapacity index of the boys were higher than the same age girls’.③Boys and girls lungcapacity increase coefficient of variation is much larger than the coefficient of variationof the vital capacity.④The three vital capacity index increment in the11-12years ofage appeared negative growth phenomenon.⑤7-12years old primary school studentsexcept the age of seven, the vital capacity mean are obese group> overweight group>normal group;7-12years of age primary school students, vital capacity/weight indexmean for normal group> overweight group> obese group.⑥7-9years old, boys andgirls, visual classification of differences were not statistically significant.10-12years old,the boys’ normal eyesight rate higher than girls’, and the severe myopia rate lower thangirls’.⑦7years old and10-12years of age the cumulative change in the shift fromnormal vision to the number of severe myopia increased significantly.⑧7-8years ofage, the number of normal vision in the shift from mild myopia, up to, and thendecreasing.⑨10-12years of age, visual changes in this part of the student, change thenumber of people with severe myopia moderate myopia up to.Conclusions:1.There are gender differences in the vital capacity and its threeindices, the level of lung function development of the boys better than girls’.2.7-12years old, mean values of vital capacity increment of the boys and girlscross twice. Description of male and female lung function development of differentpeak period.3.Three vital capacity index, the increase in the age of11-12, the phenomenon ofnegative growth, lung function development was significantly lagged behind thedevelopment in height, weight and bust.4.While Vital capacity increased with increasing BMI, vital capacity/weight index decreased with increasing BMI, after deducting the impact of body weight, vitalcapacity dropped.5. Myopia increase with age and growth,10-12years old with moderate to severemyopia significantly increased, the eyesight declined greatly, and the myopic degreedeepened.
