Objective: Investigate the testosterone levels between schizotypal personalitydisorder group and normal control group in adolescents.Focus on the role oftestosterone levels in the formation of schizotypal personality disorder, and the impacton the symptoms of schizotypal personality disorder. Methods: Use MMPI-566(Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) toscreen out schizophrenia (Sc) from3500male freshmen of Maritime University in2011.The criteria of Schizotypal personality disorder(SPD)are SC>70,65<F<79, SPDreceived by two psychiatrist with interview structural DSM-IV for Schizotypalpersonality disorder.50SPD met the criteria of DSM-IV diagnosis served as studygroup, and randomly draw out50normal personality students as control group. Allsubjects received Self made general questionnaire and Schizotypal personalityquestionnaire (SPQ);2D:4D ratio is used to assess prenatal exposure levels totestosterone; Testosterone of serum were measured by Electrochemiluminescencemethod.Results:①There are significant different between the SPD group (n=50) andnormal control group (n=50)(t=2.319, p=0.023).②There is no significant differencebetween the two groups in SPD’s mother pregnan(t2=1.250, p=0.741).③There is nosignificant different between the SPD group and normal control in the left2D:4Dratio(t=0.259, p=0.796).④In the SPD group, testosterone levels significant positivecorrelate with monstrous idea in SPQ(Person r=0.382, p=0.011).⑤Compare higherand lower testosterone group, there are significant different between the two groups inmonstrous idea in SPQ, higher score of monstrous idea express in the higher FT(t=2.509, p=0.020).⑥Backward regression analysis results have suggested thattestosterone is a risk factor for monstrous idea and schizophrenia (Sc).Conclusions:①First time directed that testosterone levels in SPD group is higher than control group;②Mother’s pregnant season did not any differ, we consider theydid not exposure to differ testosterone level in fetal period. Not only this2D:4D ratiodid not suggested any different, further more confirm SPD did not exposure any differtestosterone level in the fetal. So we consider adolescents period is important period forSPD developing;③Testosterone is a risk factor for SPD and Sc, and We considermonstrous idea symptom may be is early behavior mark for Sc or SPD.
