objective: 1.The Purpose of this study is to explore the differences between Schizotypal personality disorder(SPD)patients and healthy controls(HC)in brain white matter FA value(fractional anisotrop),MD value(mean diffusivity),RD value(radial diffusivity),AD value(axial diffusivity)2.To explore the correlation between FA value in the different brain region and the factor of SPQ.3.To investigate differences in the volume of gray matter between the group of schizotypal personality disorder and healthy control group by VBM.(Voxel-Based Morphometry)Methods: 14 male SPD patients and 14 healthy men took part in this experiment.All 28 subjects were tested by Siemens 3.0 tesla magnetic resonance imaging system to obtain the brain image data of all subjects.With TBSS as the tool,DTI data processing was carried out to obtain the FA,MD,RD and AD values of the white matter in the SPD group and the healthy control group.VBM was used as the tool to obtain the brain region of the gray matter volume difference between the SPD group and the healthy control group.The test of Schizotypal personality questionnaire(SPQ)was conducted for the SPD group and the HC group,and the scores of each dimension,factor and total score were obtained.Results: 1.There was no significant difference in age and level of education between the two groups.2.Compared to healthy controls,the SPD group showed significantly reduced FA in Right Posterior limb of internal capsule and Retrolenticular part of Internal Capsule,Cerebral Peduncle,Fornix,Genu of Corpus Callosum and Body of Corpus Callosum,Left Anterior Corona Radiate and Superior Cerebellar Peduncle.Compared to healthy controls,there was no significant difference in MD,RD and AD values.3.There was a significant positive correlation between the score of SPQ and the FA value in the different brain region.4.Compared to the healthy control group,the SPD group increased the volume of gray matter in the Orbitofrontal Area,the Insular Cortex and the Right Posterior Central Gyrus.The gray matter volume decreased in the Superior Temporal Gyrus,Putamen and the Occipital Middle Region.Conclusion: In this study,DTI and VBM were used to find changes in the white matter integrity of the brain and the volume of gray matter.The white matter integrity of the brain in Right Posterior Limb of Internal Capsule,Fornix,Genu of Corpus Callosum and Body of Corpus Callosum has changed.The neuropathological basis of the schizotypal personality disorder of young men may be related to the abnormality of these brain regions.The volume of gray matter in the brain region has descreased,such as the Superior Temporal Gyrus,Putamen and the Occipital Middle Region.The volume of gray matter in the Insular Cortex and Right Posterior Central Gyrus has increased.In addition to the loss of gray matter volume in patients with schizotypal personality disorder,some brain regions may also have a certain compensatory mechanism.Thus it play a protective role and inhibit the further development of the disease.
